SuperElastik is a formula developed in i-GlooAdvance research laboratories.
SuperElastik is applicable in horizontal and vertical surfaces up to 2 mm thick in one hand by mixing the two components you get a smooth and fluid dough capable of waterproofing with great effectiveness.
Suitable for waterproofing and protection of concrete structures, plasters, concrete screeds, balconies, terraces, bathrooms and swimming pools.
SuperElastik is a bi-component lightweight mortar based on mineral cement binders, mineral fillers and additives in water dispersion.
SuperElastik adheres effectively on all surfaces in concrete, masonry, ceramic and marble, provided they are solid and properly cleaned, is elastic in all environmental conditions up to -10 Ce not highly resistant to chemical agents such as chlorides and carbon dioxide, defrosting salts and resistant to U.V.
The structures, protected and waterproofed with SuperElastik, even in very rigid climates, and in coastal areas with salt. It complies with EN 1504-9. and EN 1504-2 coating (C) according to PI, MC and IR principles.
Manual application:
about 1.5 L/m² per mm thick.
Application by spray:
about 1.4 L/m² per mm thick, with plasterer.
N.B.: the consumption may vary depending on the surface conditions the data indicated refer to applications on flat surfaces with regular substrate.
Supply and installation of two-component flexible elastic cement mortar up to -20 C based on cement binders, selected fine grain aggregates, synthetic fibres, special additives and synthetic polymers in water dispersion.
Before applying SuperElastik on a cement substrate, it is necessary to remove the inconsistent and detachable parts until a solid support is obtained. In the case of existing tile substrates, it is necessary to assess their adhesion, the presence of adequate slopes and cracks to identify any need for regularization.
The product should be applied, on a clean and dry support, with a smooth metal spatula in a final thickness of not less than 2 mm and then finished with the same spatula. It is necessary to provide for the application of the product in two coats by interposing between the first and the second, as reinforcement, an alkali-resistant glass fiber mesh with mesh of 4 x 4 mm and weight of 160 g/m².
The product must then be coated with ceramic material glued to the membrane with a class C2 cement adhesive. Ceramic materials will be supplied separately and installed by a qualified company.
